Restart Your Life in 21 Days with Barakah

You don't wanna miss out on this

Salaam Alaykum,

For years of my life, I was my biggest villain.

I spent much of my teen years hanging around with the wrong crowd, playing video games, barely focusing in school (my parents paid for private school), and scrolling my life away

I always had big aspirations of owning a Business but somehow whenever I’d start something it always crumbles down.

I’d either hit a roadblock or lack the motivation to continue.

During Covid, I got my first taste of online income but I didn’t have the drive to keep moving forward.

I was gripped by procrastination and laziness to the point that I wasted years of my life thinking, “I’ll work harder when I’m ready“ while drowning myself in cheap entertainment.

But the ironic thing about procrastination is that you delay tasks, believing that they’ll be easier to do later but the more you delay them the harder it is to start.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve been able to fight procrastination, beat laziness and build a Personal Brand. Alhamdulilah.

The difference between my previous self and my current self comes down to one thing:

Barakah. Allah’s Divine Blessings.

Because a life with Barakah is a life of success in the Dunya and the Akhirah.

And a life without Barakah is a life of chaos in the Dunya and regret in the Akhirah.

I want you to think of a bucket of water. Now imagine that the water in this bucket is Barakah.

The more you poke holes in this bucket, the more it leaks.

I came up with a term called “Barakah Leaks“, which simply refers to the different ways we leak Barakah in our lives.

And the only way to truly restart your life in 21 days is to fix these leaks. So let’s identify each hole in this bucket and how to fix it.

Hole 1: Private Sins

Now, before you attack me, I don’t condone any type of sin.

But I do need you to understand the effect of private sins.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“I certainly know people from my Ummah who will come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds like the mountains of Tihāmah, but Allah will make them like scattered dust. They are your brothers, from your race, and they pray at night as you do. But when they are alone, they violate the sacred limits of Allah.”

Ibn Mājah (4245)

Your truest self comes out when you’re all alone and no one’s watching you.

That’s also when temptations are extremely high.

The sins that you commit in private don’t just affect you in the Akhirah.

They also destroy your Dunya because they make you ashamed of yourself.

And shame is the lowest emotion on the spectrum.

This is a fancy chart I pulled off of Google.

The lower you are on this scale, the more miserable your life is.

And shame sits at the very bottom.

Because when you feel shame, you can’t:

  • Focus on Tasks

  • Have hope in Allah’s Mercy

  • Find peace in your life

  • Take action towards your goals

Private Sins quite literally ruin your productivity and your deen.

Solution: Make Sincere Tawbah and ask Allah to break free from any private sin you struggle with. I promise you his response is guaranteed.

Hole 2: Chasing the Dunya too much

Imagine a billionaire invites you over to their fancy mansion for the week.

He gives you access to everything: gourmet food, luxury cars, endless rooms, a private cinema and an endless vault of gold you can take from.

Now imagine spending all that time drowning in the cars and the food and barely taking any gold with you.

That’s what many of us are doing in this dunya.

We spend our lives drowning in Netflix Shows and TikTok videos that we don’t stack up as much Hasanat as we truly can.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever makes the Hereafter his main concern, Allah will place richness in his heart, organize his affairs, and the world will come to him despite being reluctant.
And whoever makes the world his main concern, Allah will place poverty before his eyes, scatter his affairs, and he will not get anything of the world except what has been decreed for him.”

Sunan Ibn Mājah (4105), authenticated by al-Albānī

There’s a brother who’s worth over $10 Million but his life is full of chaos, debt and humiliation.

His main concern is stacking up as much wealth as he can regardless of whether its halal or haram.

To truly restart your life in 21 days, you need to think about the Akhirah more often.

Solution: Do something Daily for your Akhirah self.

And no, it doesn’t have to be 2 hours long.

Even 10 Sincere Minutes will do.

This can be Dhikr, reading the Quran or even Sadaqa.

Do this daily and watch how Allah organises the messy parts of your life.

Hole 3: Not Setting Goals

The Prophet ﷺ’s life was one of purpose.

And his Sahabas all lived with purpose.

Setting goals will give you a compass for how you should live your life.

Think of your life like a ship in a storm.

If you don’t know where you want to go, you’ll always be stuck at sea.

Solution: Pick something that lights a fire in you.

It can be:

  • Starting a Business

  • Becoming a Doctor

  • Learning how to Code

  • Or even being an astronaut

Pick something that you like (and will also give you income) and stick to it.

Don’t worry when things get hard. Allah always promises Ease after hardship.

Hole 4: Sleeping After Fajr

The Prophet ﷺ made this famous Dua:

“O Allah, bless my Ummah in their early mornings.”

Sunan Abī Dāwūd (2606)

There’s a narration that Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) told his son:

“Do not sleep after Fajr, for indeed it is the time when provision (rizq) is distributed.”

The Sahaba reached a level of success that we could only dream of.

They were the best in deen, akhlaq, built massive businesses, strong militaries and conquered vast lands.

Is it a coincidence that they didn’t sleep after Fajr? I don’t think so.

Sleeping after Fajr blocks you from countless of opportunities.

Your life constantly feels like it’s not going anywhere (no matter how hard you work) because you keep ignoring the divine gift that Allah gave us:

The Barakah Hours.

These hours set apart the muslims who are truly productive and the muslims who are “busy“ all day long but barely get stuff done.

Solution: 3x a week, 2 hours a day

I’ll be real with you, I don’t stay up after Fajr everyday.

And I don’t think you should too because you’ll burn out.

Instead, you should just do it 3 times a week. and follow this routine:

  • Wake up without your phone

  • Pray Fajr + Morning adhkar

  • Work on one important task for 2 hours

By 9am you’ll do what most people can barely do all day long.

I’ll help you wake up effortlessly, save you months of “hustle“ and avoid burning out.

Hole 5: Surrounding Yourself with Negativity

The way the dunya is, it feels like it’s designed for negative energy.

Things like gossip, slander and filthy content are all normalised.

Celebrity scandals go viral on social media platforms.

Backbiting and slander are all disguised as “just venting“.

These things feel satisfying at the moment, but they actually drain you.

Ibn Taymiyyah said something interesting:

“The heart will not find complete happiness except by loving Allah“

Ibn Taymiyyah

By constantly feeding your heart negativity, you deprive it of happiness.

 Solution: Stay away from negativity.

This is pretty straighforward.

If you’re in a group where backbiting starts. find an excuse and leave.

If you see a haram post online. Block the account and keep swiping.

Saying “No“ to things that drain you will change your life.

Once I started doing this, my life has felt more peaceful than ever.

Closing Remarks

If you’ve read till the very end of this letter I actually appreciate you.

Allahumma Baarik to you.

You now have a solid gameplan for what to do to completely change your life within the next 21 Days.

Until Next Time,

Ali.
